944, 944 Turbo, 944S, 924S, 944S2, and 968

There are three basic exhaust parts on a normally aspirated 944, 944S, 944S2, and 968:
Stock Exhaust Manifolds or Race Headers (at front of car mounted to cylinder head)
Stock Catalytic Converter Pipe or "Cat-Bypass Pipe" for Race Cars (at center of exhaust system)
Stock Exhaust Muffler / Pipe or "Cat-Back" Exhaust (at rear of exhaust system)
There are seven basic exhaust parts on a 944 Turbo:
Stock Exhaust Manifolds or Race Headers (at front of car mounted to cylinder head)
Cross-over Pipe or Up Pipe (from manifolds to exhaust turbine housing inlet)
Down pipe (from exhaust turbine housing outlet to Cat Pipe or Cat Bypass Pipe)
Catalytic Converter Pipe or "Cat-Bypass" Pipe for Race Cars (from down pipe and located at center of car)
Stock Exhaust Muffler / Pipe or "Cat-Back" Exhaust (at the rear of the exhaust system)
Wastegate Inlet Pipe (from cross-over pipe or up pipe to wastegate inlet)
Wastegate Outlet Pipe (from wastegate outlet to catalytic converter pipe or cat-bypass pipe)
Note: 304 stainless is great for Cat-bypass Pipes, Cat-Back Exhausts, and Normally Aspirated Headers, but is not suitable for any Turbocharged Header, Up Pipe, or the first 12 inches of Down Pipe due to the extreme temperatures of Turbocharged applications.
304 stainless will crack in short order if used in these component applications!
We only use 321 stainless for ALL of our Turbocharged Headers, Up Pipes, and Down Pipes. Yes, it is a little more expensive, but well worth the price.
If you purchase any exhaust component from any other company, put a magnet up to all of the different parts of the component you purchased (such as the Flanges). If that part of the component is magnetic- It is mild steel, not stainless. Therefore the product you purchased IS NOT 100% stainless! All of our components ARE 100% Stainless.

Catalytic Converter Bypass Pipes

Yes, our our Cat-Bypass Pipes are the Finest Quality on the market, and have a V-band Clamp at the center instead of cheap slip-fit connection like others use- which will leak. When ordering, please let us know if you have a stock down pipe, our 2.75" down pipe, or our full 3" down pipe. This information changes the bolt orientation. If you have a stock down pipe, or our 2.75" down pipe, the bolt hole location will be the same a stock, and the Cat Bypass Pipe will transition from 2.75" at the flange to a full 3".
If you want a full 3" starting at the flange, you must use our 3" down pipe for this to work as we have relocated the 3 studs of our Down Pipe and the holes of our full 3" Cat Bypass Pipe further out so you will be able to get a socket on the 14mm nuts.

This pipe is required if you are installing an adjustable F46 TiAL wastegate onto your 1986 through 1989 944 Turbo.

Send us your stock pipe, we will cut off the stock flange and weld in a new CNC machined flange in the correct location, fully polish, and send back the same day. You pay shipping both ways.

Down Pipes
2.75" 321 Stainless $310 (supports up to 500 HP)

This is the outlet pipe which comes off of the turbocharger and goes to the cat pipe.
Stock pipe is 2.5". Our two Down Pipes are larger for quicker turbocharger spool-up, and high horse power applications.
Shown in the left photo above - a stock down pipe at top, and our 3" ceramic coated down pipe at the bottom.
Our 2.75" Down Pipe is designed to work with any Cat Bypass pipe from stock to 3" and has the stock 10mm 3 stud arrangement.
Our full 3.00" Down Pipe is designed to work with our 3" Cat Bypass Pipe only. We relocate the stock 3 bolt arrangement further out so it is possible to get a socket on the 14mm nuts. Other don't do this, and it is very difficult to tighten the nuts!

Sport Headers
944, 924S, 944S, 944 Turbo, 944S2, 968 $1,125
Our "Sport Headers" are designed to bolt up in the stock location without changing your cross-over pipe. They have the same two 3-bolt style flanges as stock.
Our unique design is a true "equal length" type header not found anywhere else on the market!
Note that other companies selling these types of headers bring the primary tubes of cylinders number 1 and 4 out long and tuck the tubes of cylinders 2 and 3 in tight behind 1 and 4 (like stock manifolds). Due to the fact that the primary tube of cylinder 1 has such a long way to go before getting to the collector, we tuck the tubes of cylinders 1 and 4 in close to the block and bring out the tubes of cylinders 2 and 3 making them longer and of equal length.
You will soon see everyone copy us on this as they do with all of our products, such as our Alternator Delete Mount and our Under-drive Pulley's.
Sport Headers Specifications:
Four 1/2" thick 321 stainless flanges at head to primary tubes. These will not warp! All others use 3/8" or less and do warp and you will have exhaust leaks all the time!
Large 1-3/4" primary tube size, 321 stainless, and 16 gauge wall thickness.
High flow 321 stainless merge collectors
2" tube size to cross-over pipe (stock 1.9")

Designed to bolt up to stock 944 Turbo exhaust manifolds ( two 3-bolt flange type)
This is the cross-over pipe or some call it the "Up Pipe" which goes from your existing manifolds to the inlet of your turbocharger.
It is a direct bolt in part, and comes with oxygen sensor bung welded in the stock location.
We can also (at extra charge) weld in a T3, T4 or V-band type flange for different style turbocharger turbine inlets.
